ADI: What is the most serious frustration in your design career? SW: The levels of stress that accompany the profession.
ADI: In your opinion ,how much were you influenced by your culture background in design field? Nanbu Toshiyasu: A Japanese word uses a Chinese character, a katakana, a hiragana, an alphabet, and various languages. Diversity and the depth are given to the design in the meaning that it is good. It expects it of the design of new Asia in which it is born in uniting the West and the Orient.
ADI: What is your motivation to insist to the graphic design-job? Leonardo Sonnoli: It is the only thing I am able to do. But graphic design has many different sides: it is possible to design a book, a poster, an exhibition, and also to write about design, to research and to teach. All this sides-jobs request a specific knowledge even if inside the graphic design world.
ADI: What will you do if you were not a graphic designer? Why? Henrik Kubel: I would be an artist, a painter. I have a passion for art and especially contemporary painting. Peter Doig, Luc Tuymans, Martin Kippenberger, David Salle, Lars Ravn and Tal R.
ADI: How is your normal working condition? Do you like it? Why? Boris Ljubicic: My life is a graphic design but in a very complex form. My studio is just one floor below the flat where I live and therefore I can work any time of day or night. |
